Ringing in 2014
It’s the first day of 2014. Having properly rang in the new year, equipped with a party hat and never ending glass of champagne, we counted down while the Moon Pie dropped. (No really… they drop a Moon Pie in Alabama.) Today I cooked the lucky ham, black eyed peas, greens and cornbread and had family over to share it with. (If anyone else wants ham or has recipes with ham, give me a shout–I bought nearly a 10 pound ham this year. Whoops.)
We’ve all heard the saying “The days are long but the years are short.” I think it’s so true. My 2014 resolution is to make the most out of my time.
Since that’s a pretty vague resolution, In 2014, I resolve to:
Get in a better habit of going to church more often.
Pick up yoga.
Be outside more.
Put the phone down.
Pick the camera up.
Park farther away.
Go the extra mile.
Get out of my comfort zone.
Stop worrying about everything.
Make new friends.
Bake more French treats. Get really good at it.
Get stuff framed.
Tell people how great I think they are.
Host more dinner parties.
Travel. Come back changed.
So! Help me get started! Have any book recs, yoga dvds, recipes or anything else I need to try?
